Petanque haiku from Don the poet ...

Feeling refreshed after a weekend of hiking in Idyllwild, Ca., and upon seeing HSPC has closed the gap in the TPL, I was inspired to compose some petanque haiku.

Silver ball takes flight
Quiet stillness broken now
There is a carreau

Blue skies of summer
A warm breeze across the piste
Thunder of the boules

` Thirteen to zero
Not happy in the outcome
A fanny to kiss

The pig stands alone
The assault comes rapidly
Only one team scores

and one for the pervs

Feel the heavy balls
The hand moves purposefully
Sweet release again

Congrats on tying things up,
Don
